Omaha Tribal Member to receive Congressional Gold Medal

OMAHA, Neb. (KCAU) — A member of the Umoⁿhoⁿ (Omaha) Tribe will receive a Congressional Gold Medal.

Hollis D. Stabler was one of the 7,000 men who volunteered to serve in World War II. From Walthill, Nebraska, Stabler served in the 4th Ranger Battalion, Headquarters Company from September 1939 to February 1946.
