Three teens arrested in Omaha homicide case appear in court

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Three teens arrested in an Omaha homicide investigation have made their first appearances in court.

The three were arrested in connection to the shooting death of 19-year-old Ashtin Fletcher on June 8 in a neighborhood northwest of 60th Street and Ames Avenue. A 20-year-old man was found nearby and taken to the hospital for treatment of an injury that was not life-threatening.

Tamarri Neal, 18, was formally charged in court Wednesday with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony. A 16-year-old male suspect was also in court on Wednesday and is facing the same charges. He is being charged as an adult, but as he is a minor, First Alert 6 is not identifying him by name.

Both teens have a preliminary hearing set for July 30 and are being held without bond…
