OPPD crews respond to power outages in Douglas, Sarpy counties

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A power outage Wednesday morning impacted over 3,000 Omaha Public Power District customers in the South Omaha area.

As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, OPPD’s outage map showed about 1,850 customers in Douglas County and about 1,180 in Sarpy county without power.

In a 9 a.m. update, affected customers were down to about 30. OPPD crews have not yet officially found the cause of the outages.

Traffic signals at intersections in this area may have not be working, due to the outage. Drivers were asked to treat these intersections as all-way stops…
