Man arrested after May shooting in Omaha church has case sent to district court

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man arrested in connection to a shooting in a church last month will have his case sent to district court.

Bismellah Mohammadi, 34, is now facing two charges of second degree assault and two charges of use of a firearm to commit a felony. He was originally facing two counts of first-degree assault.

Mohammadi was arrested without incident after a shooting in May at a private party in the basement of Divine Shepard Lutheran Church.
