Kick Off July with Fireworks, Music, and a Castle Picnic
The fireworks are ready, the lawn is set, and the guitars are tuned. July’s coming in strong—here are three great ways to ring in the new month:
- June 30 – Lake Manawa Fireworks: Get a headstart on Independence Day celebrations at the 75th anniversary of this Council Bluffs fireworks show. Enjoy an explosive display in the sky set to a live radio soundtrack.
- July 1 – Picnic at the Castle: Head to Joslyn Castle for a free family picnic with live music, food trucks, kids’ activities, and open grounds from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
July 2 – Tempo of Twilight: Bring a blanket to Lauritzen Gardens for an outdoor concert featuring The Radio Eclectic. Music plays from 6 to 8 p.m., and picnics are welcome.
