OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The last couple of weeks have brought numerous rounds of showers and storms to Omaha and the surrounding viewing area. This week’s drought monitor accounts for rainfall amounts as of Tuesday, July 1st.
Although no big changes are seen in the Omaha metro itself, you can see improvements north of the metro near Blair and Tekamah, as well as to the southeast of the metro in parts of Iowa and Missouri surrounding towns like Maryville and Rockport.
This is a look at the drought monitor from last week. There are significantly more areas under abnormal dryness and moderate drought compared to this week’s update.
