Nebraska-Iowa Severe Weather Alert: Hail, Wind Possible from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday

Omaha, Nebraska – Isolated severe thunderstorms could roll through eastern Nebraska and western Iowa between 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, bringing the risk of hail up to 1 inch and winds over 60 mph. Outdoor events, travel, and evening plans could be disrupted across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Omaha, there’s a 40–60% chance of storms developing in the region this afternoon, with a 5–10% chance that any individual storm turns severe. The highest local threat is level 1 out of 5, indicating pockets of strong storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and small hail.
