OPPD reports scattered power outages in Omaha metro following storms

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nearly 2,000 in the Omaha metro were without power early Tuesday following overnight severe weather in the area.

At its peak, the Omaha Public Power District’s outage map showed over 9,000 customers impacted by outages at 10 p.m. Monday. OPPD says these customers were mainly in Douglas and Washington counties.

A 3 a.m. check of the map Tuesday showed 1,183 in Douglas, 671 in Washington, 62 in Dodge, 31 in Otoe, and 21 in Pottawattamie County still experiencing outages.
