Two Arrested After Pursuits in Eastern Nebraska

July 6, 2025 (Omaha, Neb.) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested two people following separate pursuits in eastern Nebraska Saturday.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. Saturday, a trooper conducted a traffic stop near 24th and Himebaugh Avenue in Omaha on a Chevrolet Malibu. During the traffic stop, the driver refused to provide identification. The trooper used a mobile fingerprint scanner to identify the driver and learned that the driver had outstanding warrants. The driver then fled on foot.

The trooper pursued the driver on foot through a neighborhood and over two fences before taking the driver into custody. The trooper found a set of brass knuckles in the suspect’s pocket. An Omaha police officer arrived on scene and used an OPD cruiser to transport the suspect back to the trooper’s patrol unit. While in the OPD cruiser, the suspect swallowed a white powder…
