At Fort Randall Dam, a crane tip injured one person

Sioux Falls, South Dakota — Officials from the United States Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District are responding to an incident involving a contractor crane that tipped over at Fort Randall Dam on Monday afternoon.

Around 2 p.m., the crane tipped on the bridge deck of the dam’s intake structure, according to a Corps of Engineers news release. Emergency personnel aided the crane operator, who was transported to a nearby hospital. Officials said no further medical information is currently available.
