Man accused of driving four times over the legal limit with a rifle through York County

YORK COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) – An erratic driver was arrested after deputies discovered he was extremely drunk and in possession of a rifle, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested 40-year-old Matthew Townsend, of Underwood, Iowa, on Sunday. The arrest comes after a 911 call along Interstate 80.

A caller told dispatch that a driver had been tailgating them and collided into the back of another vehicle around noon. The erratic driver did not stop after the collision…
