OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Kansas City man arrested after a November incident at an Omaha gas station escalated to a shooting has changed his plea.
Christopher Bland, 31, entered a guilty plea Thursday in Douglas County District Court. Originally charged with attempted second-degree murder, second-degree assault, discharging a firearm, and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, he pled guilty to attempted second-degree assault and terroristic threats.
Judge Katie Benson then sentenced Bland to 18 months in jail, with credit for 232 days served.
Two people were injured in the shooting that Saturday morning, Nov. 30, at the QuikTrip near 48th and Hamilton streets. One person was shot in the wrist and drove himself to the hospital; another had pepper spray waft into their eyes and declined treatment at the scene…
