Snow Plow Driver Charged in Death of State Trooper from February

Thursday it was released that the snow plow driver responsible for Nebraska State trooper Kyle McAcy’s death in February is facing charges.

According to Cass County court documents, 56-year old Thomas Jordan from Palmyra, NE is facing a single count of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide after the investigation ran from February-May, 2025. In Nebraska, a misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide can carry up to a year in jail, fines up to $1,000, and/or license revocation.

McAcy, a 10 year veteran of the NSP, was tragically killed in the line of duty while responding to a crash on Interstate 80 on the morning of February 17th. The Nebraska State Patrol released a statement on the charges via their Facebook page Friday morning…
