Owner of store that was subject of 2024 drug bust sentenced to probation

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The last of four adult suspects who were charged with dealing drugs out of a northwest convenience store has been sentenced.

In Douglas County District Court last week, Yaser Shohatee, the owner of the store, was sentenced to two years probation after pleading no contest to attempted possession with intent to distribute drugs. Two charges of delivering drugs were dropped.

In fact, none of the four adult suspects ended up getting jail time.

On July 17, store employee Helal Alshohattee was also sentenced to two years probation…
