Things to do: Activities and events in the Omaha metro, August 15-17

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here’s a list of activities and events coming up in the Omaha metro this weekend.

Head down to Bellevue for the Arrows to Aerospace event on Friday and Saturday. Along with a parade, there will be a pancake feed and foam party, as well as bounce houses and vendors — all at Washington Park. The downhill mile run is happening at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Olde Towne Grand Parade will happen at 10 a.m. from Mission Avenue to the park.

Watch some beautiful hot air balloons in the sky at the Nebraska Balloon and Wine Festival. The event will be held at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Elkhorn on Friday and Saturday. Balloons will launch both evenings at 7 p.m. and event-goers can go in at 5 p.m. to see pilots assemble the balloons for their flights. Tickets are $17 ahead of time or $21 at the entrance with a a wine tasting…
