OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A teen suspect in the shooting death of a 24-year-old woman last September is getting his case moved to juvenile court.
The suspect was 15 years old at the time of the Sept. 16 shooting that killed Cameron Watkins and left two others injured. He had been charged as an adult with first-degree murder, attempted robbery, and use of a deadly weapon.
Accused co-conspirator Darnell Marion-Jones was also charged with first-degree murder as well as attempted robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and tampering with evidence. Investigators said last fall that they believed the boy and Marion-Jones were attempting to rob Marquis Jones, who was also injured in the incident and later booked on assault and firearms charges…
