GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – The Omaha Police Narcotics Unit is warning about a dangerous new mixture of drugs that includes fentanyl.
Investigators said they recently found a substance called “purple fentanyl.” Police said the drug contains lidocaine, an anesthetic that intensifies the side effects of fentanyl.
Because lidocaine is not an opioid, the effects of purple fentanyl cannot be reversed by Narcan, authorities said…
