4 Taken Into Custody And 4 Wanted In Connection To Over 1,000 Gravesite Thefts In Omaha Metro

More than 1,000 gravesite vases have been reported stolen at two Council Bluffs cemeteries in recent months, police said in a case update Thursday.

Ahead of an afternoon news conference, Council Bluffs Police announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with recent vase thefts at Omaha metro cemeteries.

Shane Jackson, 52, and Frankie Diaz-Lopez, 26, both of Council Bluffs, were detained, as were Miranda Shamblin, 27, of Red Oak, Iowa, and Kenneth Meyerott, 66, who has no fixed address.
