In an effort to address the growing need for male mentors in Lincoln, Omaha and several other communities, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands is kicking off an urgent and ambitious recruitment campaign.
It’s called “60 Men in 60 Days,” and the organization is calling on men from all backgrounds to step up and make a life-changing difference. BBBSM says dozens of boys are waiting for a “Big Brother”
Over 70% of the youth waiting for a mentor are boys, with some waiting over a year and a half for a match. On average, the organization says male youth face an eight-month wait time. The campaign aims to fill the gap by recruiting 60 male mentors by October 30…
