Omaha, NE – Nebraska residents should prepare for the possibility of severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon, with the greatest risks coming between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Omaha/Valley.
According to the NWS, storms will be scattered and spotty, but any that do form could produce large hail and damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. While all severe weather threats are possible, the tornado risk is considered low but focused in central Nebraska, where forecasters have noted a 2% chance.
