Suspect in fatal Omaha hit-and-run to appear in court

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The suspect in a fatal hit-and-run is set to appear in court Monday afternoon.

21-year-old Gabrielle Geist-Hunter was booked for motor vehicle homicide: DUI, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident resulting in serious bodily injury or death.

Court documents say a Dodge Avenger struck a pedestrian on the 10th Street bridge, and the car was later found by helicopter near 10th and Arbor streets.

The car had damage that was consistent with striking a pedestrian, according to the documents. Officers also found a trail of debris left behind at the crime scene…
