OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The First Alert 6 Weather Day continues tonight as strong storms continue to form.
The storms will start out as isolated then become scattered late tonight. The severe storms will form west of the metro then move eastward hitting the metro overnight as people are sleeping. The best chance will be after midnight for the metro.
The main risks for these will be large hail and gusty wind, though a brief tornado can not be ruled out as these storms first develop.
These will also produce some heavy rainfall.
Tuesday will see ongoing occasional showers and a few thunderstorms, with the better chance of storms south of I-80.
With all of the cloud cover, temps will be held in the low to mid 70s for highs though it does remain muggy.
The rest of the forecast looks pretty quiet and nice with lots of sunshine as we head into the weekend…
