Nebraska man injured when Cadillac crashes and catches fire on I-29

A man from Bellevue, Nebraska, suffered minor injuries Friday afternoon when his Cadillac caught fire after crashing on Interstate 29 in St. Joseph.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, on northbound I-29 within the city limits of St. Joseph in Buchanan County.

Troopers reported a 2013 Cadillac SRX, driven by a 19-year-old man from Bellevue, was traveling north when it went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The vehicle returned to the roadway and caught fire before coming to rest in the right lane…
