Man who fled from Omaha police in stolen car pleads no contest

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man who was arrested after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen car before choking a K-9 in June has been sentenced, according to Nebraska court records.

Michael Grover, 25, pleaded no contest to a charge of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest. A charge of theft by unlawful taking was dismissed.

He was never charged for the alleged assault on the K-9. He was sentenced to 270 days in jail with 94 days credit for time served.

His driver’s license is also revoked for two years…
