The Papillion Fire Department and Domino’s Pizza teamed up Sunday in a creative collaboration that brought fire safety straight to residents’ doorsteps — along with a hot pizza.As part of Fire Prevention Week, firefighters in Papillion, Nebraska, rode along with Domino’s delivery drivers, checking smoke detectors in customers’ homes. Those with working smoke alarms were rewarded with a free pizza.“Teamed up with Domino’s Pizza this year to check residents for smoke detectors. If they have working smoke detectors, credit to them — they got a free pizza,” said Papillion Fire Department Battalion Chief Brian Oshey.The unique delivery campaign turned an ordinary pizza run into an opportunity to promote fire safety awareness.
