100+ pounds of meth seized during Nebraska traffic stop

OMAHA, Neb. (KCAU) — More than 100 pounds of methamphetamine was found at a traffic stop in Omaha, Nebraska.

According to a release from the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), troopers stopped Iesha Smith, 47, on a speeding stop on I-80 in eastern Nebraska around 6:45 p.m. NSP reported the trooper who pulled the Georgia woman over had suspected criminal activity.

The Papillion Police Department brought in a K9, which found the scent of a controlled substance. Smith’s vehicle was searched, and several trash bags were found, each containing methamphetamine. In total, the bags weighed 130 pounds.

The release states that Smith was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and she was put in the Sarpy County Jail located in eastern Nebraska…
