Community continues to rally to support Offutt Air Force Base families

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The government shutdown stretching into its third week has forced hundreds of military families at Offutt Air Force Base to seek food assistance as civilian workers remain unpaid since the federal closure began.

While military service members received pay earlier this week, civilian employees at the base have not seen income since the shutdown started, creating financial hardship for families who serve the country.
