Walmart employee helped woman escape boyfriend who allegedly strangled her ‘5 to 6 times,’ deputies say

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT/Gray News) – An employee at a Walmart in Nebraska played a role in helping to save a woman after her boyfriend allegedly strangled her ‘5 to 6 times’ and wouldn’t let her escape.

According to a press release, a woman and 31-year-old Justis Barnhouse were at Walmart, where she got the attention of an employee.

She told the employee to follow her to the bathroom so she could tell the employee about the assault, according to authorities.

She told the employee that she was strangled 5 to 6 times on Tuesday afternoon by Barnhouse. She said he hadn’t let her leave for the past two days, as she was trying to gather her belongings from the camper and leave to return home to Kansas…
