OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – While we wait for a timeline on how soon people could receive their benefits, thousands of Nebraska families are facing empty pantries this week. Dozens of metro organizations, restaurants, and individuals have stepped up to feed our neighbors and the need is only growing.
According to No Kid Hungry, roughly 157,000 people across Nebraska rely on SNAP to buy groceries.
