OMAHA, Neb. — A driver has been cited for reckless driving after a bizarre Thursday morning crash on Interstate 680 that started when they threw a soda can at another vehicle.
According to an Omaha Police crash report, the incident occurred around 7:53 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-680 near the West Center Road exit. Investigators say the driver was attempting to merge left when another vehicle either failed to slow down or sped up to block the merge. The first driver then hurled a soda can into the open window of the other car, causing it to lose control.

The second vehicle swerved right, striking the first car before slamming into the right-side barrier, crossing four lanes, and colliding with a third car.
