Omaha Police arrest two in connection to two separate shootings

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Police have made two arrests in connection to two shootings in Omaha that injured two people in total last weekend.

Omaha Police say that two people, 18-year-old Lakira Thomas and 20-year-old Ronnie Simmons were arrested on charges in connection to the shootings.

Thomas was arrested on two counts of first degree felony assault, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and felon in possession of a firearm for a shooting that injured one at a North Omaha gas station.
