Omaha nonprofit ramps up food assistance as SNAP benefits remain uncertain

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Millions of children across the U.S. are at risk of going hungry with SNAP benefits in limbo and many workers furloughed during the government shutdown.

Local nonprofit Completely KIDS is ramping up efforts to support families through its emergency food pantry and weekend backpack program, which provides food for children when they’re away from school.
