A University of Kansas student was struck and killed in a hit-and-run while jogging, and investigators are asking the public to help identify the driver.
Twenty-year-old Elsa McGrain of Omaha, Neb., was jogging in Lawrence, Kan., around 6 p.m. local time on Thursday, Nov. 6, when the incident occurred, according to a Nov. 8 media release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO).
In a previous release, authorities said a passerby contacted police dispatch at 3:35 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, reporting “a person near the road.” Deputies later confirmed that the individual — identified as McGrain — had died…
