OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man arrested after an Omaha police officer was shot in the head at a gas station had his preliminary hearing Monday morning.
Shedrick Mills, 36, will have his case go to district court for trial.
Mills is facing charges of attempted second degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He is being held on a $3 million bond.
Prosecutors asked that one of the initial charges, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, be dropped, and the judge obliged. Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine explained to First Alert 6 that the charge was dropped because Mills was technically not a felon…
