The State of the Student Government Association (SGA) address was given at this week’s SGA business meeting held in Mammal Hall on the night of Thursday, Nov. 13. Presentations from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) dean and assistant dean of students were also given, where they shared some insights on the strategic priorities of the university’s division of student life and wellbeing.
SGA President and Student Regent Drew Leisy delivered the State of the SGA address. His speech expanded on the past, present and future efforts of the SGA, citing concrete examples of resolutions and initiatives brought forth by the SGA. Similarly, he highlighted specific SGA initiatives currently being worked on which displayed efforts towards maintaining transparent communication with the student body, and providing ways for students to have their voices be heard.
