Holiday Lights festival postponed as city of Omaha prepares for winter weather

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Public works crews in Omaha have shifted into their winter storm operations.

Omaha city trucks are warming up and ready to go in anticipation of snow that will fall on area roadways later tonight and tomorrow.

Crews have already applied anti-icing material to city streets. Officials say the anti-icing agent will make for easier and faster removal of snow once it begins to accumulate on the streets…
