Traffic Stop in Mills County Leads to Major Meth Bust, Two Omaha Suspects Arrested

(Glenwood) — Two Omaha residents face multiple charges, including drug trafficking, following a traffic stop in Mills County.

The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says deputies conducted the stop just before 5 a.m. Sunday for a vehicle with an equipment violation. Deputies initiated a search of the vehicle after detecting the odor of narcotics. The search revealed 40 grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of marijuana, and 279 unlawfully possessed prescription pills.

The driver — 48-year-old James William Eads Jr. — and the passenger — 43-year-old Diana L. Dubas — were both arrested. Both suspects are charged with trafficking more than five grams but less than five kilograms of methamphetamine — a Class B felony — failure to affix a drug tax stamp — a Class D felony — possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a prescription drug — both serious misdemeanors…
