OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Eastbound Farnam Street through Blackstone and 38th Street is once again open, according to a release from Omaha Public Works on Wednesday.
This reopening marks the completion of utility relocation and upgrades in the area for the Streetcar project.
Drivers and pedestrians can expect the following changes:
- Eastbound Farnam Street: Fully open to traffic, restoring a vital east-west connection through Blackstone and into Midtown
- 38th Street: Reopened to north-south traffic, improving navigation and accessibility for local residents and visitors to the Blackstone District
- Access to Businesses: The removal of construction barriers will significantly improve visibility and access to the restaurants, shops, and businesses that define the Blackstone corridor
