Omaha metro seniors help families in need through Salvation Army program

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – At the great age of 91, Omaha native Mary Lou Walker uses her time philanthropically.

“I try, except for a couple out of state, I try to support local things,” says Walker.

Along with her friends Anita, Charlene and Jackie at Bloomfield Senior Living, they signed up for the Salvation Army’s Adopt-a-Family program, first reaching out to their neighbors for monetary support…
