OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – 40 North Omaha organizations will be on the receiving end of nearly $300,000 in grants.
A release from Tuesday says the funding was awarded under the Nebraska Convention Center Financing Assistance Act. This act provides that 10% of the funds received by the City of Omaha in “turn-back taxes” will be distributed to areas with a “high concentration of poverty.”
