OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Today is a First Alert 6 Weather Day as a front brings blowing snow, strong winds and dropping temps to the area.
Scattered showers did form overnight but the rain will convert over to a wintry mix then light snow throughout the morning. The light snow looks likely to last through much of the morning before wrapping up by 2PM.
Up to one inch looks to fall in the metro with one to two inches further north.
Amounts will be light but winds will be gusting up to 50 mph out of the northwest as the snow falls. This will create visibility concerns for the many people who will be doing post-holiday travel.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for multiple counties including the metro until 2 PM Sunday. A Wind Advisory has also been issued until midnight Monday…
