OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Christmas tree drop off sites are now open in the metro.
14 sites are taking trees during daylight hours in Omaha and Sarpy County until January 9th. Wasteline asks people to remove all lights and decorations before dropping the tree off.
According to the city of Omaha, volunteers collected about 71 tons of trees last year. The city will take the trees and upcycle them. Volunteers tell First Alert 6 this is a great way to get rid of your tree and give it a new purpose…
