Three Injured in Council Bluffs Cutting After Firework Thrown at Home

COUNCIL BLUFFS – Three people were injured in a violent disturbance involving a thrown firework and a cutting late Wednesday night in Council Bluffs, according to police. The incident unfolded at a residence on Margaret Avenue and sent two adults and a juvenile to area hospitals.

According to the Council Bluffs Police Department, officers were dispatched around 9:21 p.m. on January 7, 2026, to 3002 Margaret Avenue for reports of an active disturbance. Multiple callers reported a loud explosion, fighting, and a possible cutting.

Before officers arrived, three victims were transported to Jenny Edmundson Hospital by private vehicles. Police say a secondary disturbance involving members of opposing groups later occurred in the hospital lobby and was broken up by officers…
