OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Be ready for traffic impacts if you will be traveling downtown this weekend in Omaha.
As previously reported, the next phase of the streetcar project will require the reconstruction of the Farnam Street bridge over I-480. That bridge will be torn down this weekend. As a result, I-480 will be fully closed to traffic in both directions between 9 PM tonight and 6 AM Monday.
While this closure is in place, traffic will be detoured northbound onto 28th Street, then eventually return to I-480 past the closure. Southbound traffic will exit at 30th Street, take Lincoln Boulevard south to Harney, then return to I-480 via 29th Street. Keep in mind that there are lane…..
