5 Nebraska counties unite to demand property tax relief

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Five of Nebraska’s most populous counties approved identical resolutions Tuesday, uniting to demand property tax relief while warning state lawmakers not to cut essential services.

Douglas, Lancaster, Sarpy, Hall and Buffalo counties represent more than 1.2 million Nebraskans — 62% of the state’s population. The counties approved matching resolutions laying out three legislative priorities for the current session.
