COUNCIL BLUFFS – The Council Bluffs Police Department has issued a public statement addressing growing community concerns about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the city. Police officials say there have been no changes to how the department handles immigration-related matters. The statement was released on January 12, 2026.
According to the department, questions from residents have increased in recent days due to heightened immigration enforcement activity reported in other parts of the country.
