Buc-ee’s is opening another store in the Midwest in 2026, and once again, the Texas-based convenience store chain skipped over Iowa.
Buc-ee’s is slated to open three new locations in 2026, USA TODAY reported in December 2025. On Jan. 20, residents of Gretna, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha, learned that their community is on track to be the first Buc-ee’s in Nebraska.
The Gretna City Council gave initial approval to annex about 43 acres in the community for a 74,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s store with 100 gas pumps, according to the Nebraska Examiner.
