OMAHA — An Omaha march on Jan. 31, with Mayor John Ewing Jr., the city’s first elected Black mayor serving as grand marshal, is to honor the dream and legacy of slain civil rights leader the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
The third-annual “Keep the Dream Alive” event also will recognize local individuals whose leadership, service and commitment reflect the legacy of King, who organizers recalled as a son, brother, husband, father, friend and Nobel Peace Prize winner whose famous speech was titled, “I Have a Dream.”…
