OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – While Omaha had less than an inch of snow over the weekend and areas near the Missouri and Kansas borders had a couple of inches fall, much higher impacts took place over a wide area of the country.
Nineteen different states had at least one report of a foot of snow or more, stretching from Colorado to Vermont and including much of the Ohio Valley. Virginia was also only a few tenths of an inch away from having a report at a foot.
But it wasn’t only snow that this monster storm unleashed. Freezing rain fell on areas that don’t typically see it, leading to a quarter of an inch to an inch of icing all the way from New Mexico to Maryland.
