International identity theft ring uncovered after Omaha man gets suspicious

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An international internet crime ring has been exposed because an Omaha man got suspicious about charges on his account.

Using three fraudulent debit and credit cards at various ATMs in Boston, an alleged identity theft money mule stole from the account of Omaha man Tim Pettit.

“Living in Nebraska, I never would have thought that something in my finances would be tied to criminal ring on the east coast all the way to Syria,” Pettit said…
